The main issues are the aggressive screen dimming and 4k resolution output. The LG also has other issues that LG still hasn't commented on and I dont have faith in LG to fix the issues if they cant even acknowledge them. I am coming from a PG279Q and the main reason im replacing it is because the backlight is dying so I have 2 bright spots on the edge which sometimes completely go dim or stay bright.Īsus advertises 450 nits versus LG's 200 and thats enough for me. The addition of nVidias GSYNC technology only enhances the end user experience and you're left with a monitor which fills your vision with eye candy in both the literal and figurative senses of the word. The colour reproduction is fantastic, the viewing angles are excellent, and no matter how hard we push it we don't see any ghosting. It's probably the monitor that we'd recommend above all others, to the point that we wish everyone in our offices could have them. The single ROG Swift PG279 is one of our favourite monitors on the market.
